Choosing a tent

The choice of a tent should be made according to the number of people to be sheltered, the type of climate and your way of traveling. If you’re riding, cycling or walking, go for a light, compact, trekking type tent. On the other hand, if you are travelling by car or truck, choose a more comfortable, spacious camping tent.

Sleeping bag

A sleeping bag must be chosen carefully. If the temperatures initially expected are cool or warm, choose your sleeping bag accordingly. It’s also good to know that a sleeping bag or sleeping sheet is an excellent addition: it can save a few degrees, especially if the nights at the campsite are cooler than expected.

First aid kit

Before going camping, make sure you have the essential first aid equipment: a first aid kit (or medicine chest) is a must. Your first aid kit should be easily identifiable (bright colour for quick tracking) and should obviously include basic medical supplies. Toiletries are not to be underestimated either and when it comes to camping equipment.
